Navistar Adding 200 Positions In Fort Wayne
New Strategic Alliances, Organic Growth Creating New Career Opportunities: Additions to be a Mix of Employees and Contractors


FORT WAYNE, Ind. (July 7, 2008) Navistar, Inc., is adding approximately 200 positions atits Truck Engineering Facility in Fort Wayne by the end of calendar 2008. The new positionsfor degreed professionals in mechanical, electrical, systems and software engineering include amix of entry-level and management jobs, and contractor positions.

Individuals with experience in automotive engineering areas such as power-train, drive-train,brakes, HVAC, interiors, ergonomics, steering, suspensions, frame systems, harness design,electronics, software development, vehicle dynamics and finite element analysis are especiallyencouraged to contact Navistar.

The need to add to the existing Fort Wayne talent base of approximately 1,100 employees andcontractors stems from Navistar’s development of new strategic alliances, growth of existingvehicle programs and future emissions requirements.

In an effort to reach as many qualified individuals as possible, in conjunction with WorkOneNortheast, Navistar will be conducting a job fair on Friday, July 25 atthe Troy Marriott Hotel in suburban Detroit. A similar event will takeplace August 14 at Fort Wayne’s Grand Wayne Center, coincidingwith the celebration of 100 years of IEEE presence in Fort Wayne.
