Navistar International Corporation has announced the launch of a new engineering service providing technical and engineering solutions.

International Engineering Solutions, LLC, (IES), -- based at Navistar's International Truck and Engine Truck Development and Technology Center in Fort Wayne -- offers engineering and product development expertise rooted in International's long tradition of successful engineering and product development. IES will offer its services worldwide but will initially focus on companies in the Midwest. IES can provide technical and engineering solutions to a broad range of product development needs by applying world-class tools, processes, and analytical capabilities.

"We recognized our capabilities can easily be applied beyond our traditional products," said Mike Roeth, Director of Strategic Planning for Truck Operations at International. "Many businesses in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and elsewhere have product development needs requiring the same skill sets and processes we have developed and refined for our business."

Among the capabilities IES has to offer are state-of-the-art modeling and simulation;

noise, vibration and harshness analysis and testing; environmental testing; industrial design; handling analysis; aerodynamics analysis; product benchmarking; finite element analysis; ergonomics analysis; failure mode and effects analysis; metal fabrication; rapid prototyping; computational fluid dynamics; and vehicular design.
