ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (Feb. 20, 2011) Navistar Defense, LLC today announced the opening of its new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.

Navistar’s new Dubai office will support its growing customer base in the Middle East, which includes the Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army, Israel and Jordan. The company continues to pursue new opportunities in the region and the added location will allow Navistar to provide enhanced customer service.

“Today, Navistar has more than 20,000 vehicles in operation in the Middle East that require vehicle parts and sustainment services,” said Archie Massicotte, president, Navistar Defense. “Though we have always utilized the Navistar global parts and support network, our new Dubai office allows us to enhance customer service offerings specifically for our military and government customers.”

The company will be displaying several vehicles this week during the IDEX defence and security event. Vehicles include the International® MXT™ MV, 7000 MV Right-Hand Drive (RHD) as well as the 7000 MV Armored Cab. Used today in Iraq and Afghanistan, the 7000-MV is ideal as a hauler of materials or armed personnel. Variants include vehicles such as general troop transporters, POL vehicles (petroleum, oil and lubricant), water tankers, wreckers, hazardous material trucks.
