Navistar Expands Global Engine Business to South Korea through Partnership with Daewoo Bus
MaxxForce Engines to Power New Transit Buses for Global Markets

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA – May 30, 2012 – At this week’s Busan International Motor Show 2012 in Busan, South Korea, Navistar, Inc. announced its newly established diesel engine supply agreement with Korean commercial vehicle manufacturer Daewoo Bus.

As part of that agreement, Navistar’s MaxxForce 3.2 liter was on display at the show in the all new Daewoo Bus LESTAR model with capacity for up to 30 passengers. The MaxxForce 3.2 liter in-line four-cylinder engines will power 6.0-ton GVW and 5.5-ton GVW Daewoo
Bus brand light buses. It features four valves per cylinder and will comply with Euro III through Euro V emissions standards.

The Daewoo Bus LESTAR light-duty transit bus is targeted for the South Korean market as well as other potential global markets such as China, Latin America, former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
