International Truck Accepts J.D. Power and Associates Award, Unveils New Product Features at World of Concrete

New-Look WORKSTAR™, PAYSTAR™ Help Keep Customers Miles Ahead

Las Vegas, Nevada - January 23, 2007
– International Truck, a Navistar company, is making a number of big announcements at this year's World of Concrete Show in Las Vegas.

International Truck began the show by accepting the J.D. Power and Associates Award for Customer Satisfaction for Class 8 Vocational Trucks. Phil Christman, vice president/general manager of International Truck's Severe Service Vehicle Center, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

"We were especially pleased that J.D. Power and Associates reports that International customer loyalty is the highest in the vocational segment with fully 91 percent of our customers reporting that they will ‘definitely or probably' repurchase an International truck when it's time to replace their current truck," said Christman. "International and its severe service team believe that great, exciting products and performance are driving this high customer loyalty."

In addition to the award presentation, International also was proud to showcase several heavy-duty products and enhancements, including the new-look WORKSTAR and PAYSTAR trucks.

International® WORKSTAR™
With its redesigned hood and grill, the new-look International WorkStar looks more powerful than ever. The new design allows WorkStar to accommodate the new 2007 emissions-compliant engines without dropping the radiator between the frame rails. This allows customers to maintain front engine PTO capabilities, while many other truck OEMs do not. The WorkStar will accommodate integrated MaxxForce™ 11 and MaxxForce™ 13 big bore engines in Fall 2007. Not only will the exterior get an upgrade, but the interior will as well. A new instrument cluster, more powerful electronic system controller, redesigned seats and optional tilt-telescopic steering wheel will help enhance driver comfort and satisfaction.

International® PAYSTAR™
A new sound insulation package for the PayStar reduces cab noise by up to 60 percent, providing drivers on the construction site with a quieter cab. There's also more horsepower available than ever before with options up to 625 horsepower. The PayStar also features a new, easier to mount chassis package. A new PayStar model with a new axle configuration will be announced later in 2007.

Bendix Stability System
For drivers who want to reduce incident potential and improve steering in tough high center of gravity applications, International will be offering the Bendix ABS-6 Advanced with RSP Stability System. The system continuously monitors a variety of vehicle parameters and sensors to determine if the vehicle is reaching a critical stability threshold. When that situation develops, the electronic stability program will quickly and automatically intervene to assist the driver. It can selectively apply vehicle brakes, as well as de-throttle the engine. It will be available in both WORKSTAR and PAYSTAR trucks.

Hendrickson Primaax Suspension
Also coming in 2007, the Hendrickson Primaax air ride suspension will allow for a smoother ride and improved product life cycle time by helping to isolate the chassis and cab from the vibration of typical off-road terrain. It provides a stable suspension base for high center of gravity loads and applications. The increased wheel articulation, integrated stabilizer, quick align system that simplifies axle alignment and lessens vibration transmitted to the cab and chassis results in increased driver comfort and improved product life.

Platinum Exterior Package
For customers that want to customize their truck with a premium chrome appearance, International will offer the Platinum Exterior Package for the International WORKSTAR. Adding prestige and rugged good looks to the exterior appearance, the Platinum Package offers bright, polished chrome accents that can withstand the rigors of vocational truck applications. The package includes a variety of bright features including, air tanks, fuel tanks, bumper, fog lights, air horns, wheel hub and lug nut covers, steps and bug deflector.

Eagle Interior Package
Drivers can ride in style with the new Eagle Interior Package for International® WORKSTAR™ models. The interior package, designed to improve driver comfort and reduce driver fatigue, includes a range of upgrades such as wood grain interior trim accents, premium seats, door panel accents and a premium center console. It is an important feature for drivers that want a premium interior that provides comfort and pride during long, hard days on the job site.

"All of these improvements on our 2008 models are in response to customer feedback and our commitment to providing our vocational customers with trucks that get the job done," said John Wadden, director of severe service marketing, International Truck. "International Truck designs, engineers and manufactures vehicles to surpass the expectation of customers and drivers."
