NAVISTAR NAMES JOSÉ EDUARDO LUZZI AS PRESIDENT AND CEO, NAVISTAR MERCOSUR

LISLE, Ill. – July 7, 2015 – Navistar, Inc. today announced the appointment of José Eduardo Luzzi as president and CEO of Navistar Mercosur, effective July 8, 2015. Luzzi will take on this role in addition to his role as president of MWM International Motores, Navistar’s South American engine business. Luzzi will replace Waldey Sanchez who will remain with Navistar as a strategic advisor for Navistar business ventures in the Mercosur region.

Sanchez has been a recognized leader in the Brazilian automotive industry for more than four decades, leading Navistar Mercosur since 2011. He drove the establishment of International® Engines South America when its predecessor was acquired by Navistar in 1999, and he led the 2005 acquisition and consolidation of MWM International Motores.

Luzzi most recently served as president of MWM. In his 30 years with the company, he has worked in various roles of increasing responsibility in Brazil and other global locations.
