Navistar Named 2022 Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation

LISLE, Ill. (December 15, 2022) – Navistar has been named a 2022 “Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT). Navistar embodies WIT’s mission to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments, and minimize the obstacles they face.

“We are honored to be recognized by Women in Trucking in the effort of prioritizing women in the workplace and celebrating their achievements,” said Nicole Wiggins, chief diversity officer, People & Culture. “This award speaks to the dedication we put into recruitment and retention efforts, creating a diverse workplace and applauding female leaders.”

There are a number of characteristics that distinguish companies recognized on this list, according to Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director of Redefining the Road magazine. These characteristics include corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.

This is the fifth year of this recognition program which has collectively garnered more than 22,000 votes to identify the final companies named to the list. The momentum of this program has continued to accelerate since it was first launched in 2018.

“While the trucking industry has historically been male-dominated, Navistar champions women through multiple initiatives, internal awards and resource groups to foster networking, leadership, advancement opportunities and recognize accomplishments throughout the organization,” said Wiggins.
